TRU Simulation + Training, a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, announced today that it has completed the interim Level C qualification of the first ever Boeing 737 MAX Full Flight Simulator (FFS) at the Boeing Training Campus in Miami. The qualification of the FFS, certified on February 16, 2017, by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), represents a significant milestone for both Boeing and TRU and comes at an important time as Boeing announces that the 737 MAX achieved Amended Type Certification (ATC) from the FAA on March 8, 2017.

Boeing"™s Miami campus is one of the largest commercial flight training facilities in the world. The suite TRU supplied includes an FFS and a Flat Panel Trainer classroom, which are part of a 10-year agreement for TRU to manufacture and deliver multiple 737 MAX full flight training suites to Boeing"™s training campuses around the globe. TRU"™s 737 MAX FFS utilizes innovative technology solutions such as TRU Horizonâ„¢ to integrate the Boeing Simulator Package (BSP).

"We are very pleased to realize this important milestone with the Boeing team, which demonstrates TRU"™s strength, further confirming our position as a world-class supplier to major airframe OEMs," stated George Karam, Vice President and General Manager of TRU"™s Air Transport Simulation Division. "We are excited to continue delivering world-class, high-fidelity flight simulators to benefit 737 MAX operators around the world."

TRU also received purchase orders from Boeing for the production of two Full Flight Simulator (FFS) suites for Boeing"™s newest twin-aisle airliner, the 777-9. The 777-9, scheduled for first delivery in 2020, will be the world"™s largest and most fuel-efficient twin-engine jet.
