Avianca launched daily service on its direct route between Caracas and Bogotá with flight AV143, which departed from Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía and landed at El Dorado International Airport.
The airline is resuming this historic connection with one daily flight, after completing a comprehensive evaluation of operational conditions and aviation safety in coordination with the appropriate authorities. With this service, Avianca strengthens regional connectivity and contributes to economic, commercial, and tourism growth by fostering greater integration and development across Latin America.
For more than six decades, Avianca has connected Venezuela to its route network, creating a vital aerial bridge for people, families and opportunities. As of today, the route is once again integrated into the airline’s network, connecting Caracas with 83 destinations in 28 countries.
“We are very proud to resume the Bogotá–Caracas route, once again connecting Colombia and Venezuela after more than 60 years of shared history. As one of the first international airlines to do so—now with daily flights—we reaffirm our commitment to being the bridge in Colombia and Latin America that connects people, stories, and opportunities,” said Gabriel Oliva, President of Avianca Group.
