United Airlines Announces Increased Flights from Quito Airport

United Airlines announced a significant increase in flight frequencies from Quito’s Mariscal Sucre International Airport for 2026. Starting March 29, the airline will increase its weekly flights from 7 to 9, and between May 21 and September 7, it will expand to 12 flights per week. Finally, from September 8 to October 24, it will operate 9 weekly flights.

This represents a 35% increase in capacity compared to the previous year. This will add approximately 27,000 additional seats for travelers between Ecuador and the United States during this period. United Airlines currently operates Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with a capacity of 166 passengers in three classes: 16 United First® seats, 54 Economy Plus℠ seats, and 96 Economy seats.

Today, we are thrilled to announce a significant increase in our flight capacity, reaffirming our commitment to our country,” said Bettina Carvajal, United Airlines’ Country Manager in Ecuador. “From Houston, our customers have easy access to more than 100 unique destinations through our leading global network, spanning six continents and 73 countries. At United, we continue working to connect people and unite the world.”
