Plus Ultra Airlines vaults into Venezuela from Madrid

Plus Ultra Airlines launched flights between Madrid (MAD) and Caracas (CCS) on 22 May, a 7,001-kilometre sector that the carrier will operate twice-weekly (Tuesdays and Saturdays). This becomes the airline"™s second scheduled service from the Spanish capital, with it already operating flights to Lima. The new service to Venezuela will be flown using the airline"™s fleet of A340-300s, of which it presently has three. Along with this route, from 1 July the carrier will begin a weekly (Sundays) service to Caracas from Tenerife North according to the carrier"™s booking engine. Plus Ultra Airlines is not the first carrier to link Madrid with Caracas, with it joining Air Europa (four times weekly) and Estelar (three times weekly) on the route. It should be noted that from 5 June Iberia will also be making its outbound service between Madrid and Caracas a non-stop operation…
